Short Week
This week we were really busy! There's only 9 more days of school left for us and Ms.Moffatt has 11 more days until she packs up for her new school!!
This week we looked at egyptian numbers - they look so strange and different (different than ours) but they were super easy to read!! The one in English and the one in egyptian look the same!
We wrote a letter to our teachers for next year! The grade 3s didn't know who they were writing to but the grade 1s and 2s knew they were writing to Mrs. shields! We told our teacher something's we were good at, some stuff about us and what we need to work on or things we are having trouble with!
Next week is 3-D shape centres, celebration of learning Thursday, roots of empathy party for Owen is Tuesday (we get Popsicles), Friday is field day, Tuesday we are re-creating the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx with clay, sand and paper! It's going to be AWESOME!!!
HAVE A GREAT LONG WEEKEND!! Unless your ms.moffatt, then just have a great regular weekend because you work Friday!!
Love,
Room 40

Museum Trip
This week we went to the Mantioba Museum and it was AWESOME! We went to the science gallery and we learned about our community and went to the 1920s!
The best parts of the science gallery was the matrix, the race car track, the telephone and the pulleys!
The best parts of the museum tour was the non-such (ship), the 1920s theatre, the northern lights, the bat cave & flashlights, the wolves and the dinosaurs.
This week in our egpyt unit we've been learning about the different ancient egyptian gods and goddesses. It is INTERESTING!
Have a super hot and hopefully not rainy weekend!
Love,
Room 40
