'Formal Day'

Tibert le Voyageur came to Strathmillan school and taught us about his life as a voyageur. He told us a story about how someone stole his shirt in the fort. We had to go on an imaginary hunt for it - we visited the blacksmith, the store keeper, the woodworking shop and the cabins. We also played freeze dance and Tibert played the washboard and his jaw harp! He brought a whole museum with him in an antique chest! Next week we get to go on an imaginary canoe ride!!

That's all for now!

Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring

We are raising money to build a school in Africa! This week we had flag colour Monday, beach day Tuesday, shady Wednesday and wacky day Thursday! Here is the plan for next week...
Monday is Wear Your Age and donate your age!
Tuesday is Twin Tuesday and donate the same amount each!
Wednesday is Sports Jersey Day and donate a nickel!
And finally.. Thursday is FORMAL DAY (a chance for us to dress up and donate whatever you want!

Wednesday this week we had PIZZA LUNCH! It was a different place than last time (Pizza Pizza) and it was AWESOME! Cheese was the most popular in our class (even though Ham and Pineapple is way better says Ms. Moffatt). Thanks to our parent volunteers who helped organize the pizza lunch!

Today we saw Owen and guess what... he knows how to crawl, sit and he has some teeth! With the lego box we put down, he was trying to stand up and balance! He was making all sorts of CUTE noises and lots of BIG smiles! He made us sooo full of joy!

In writing, we said Goodbye to Winter and said HELLOOOO to Spring (hopefully)
Goodbye Christmas, hello Easter
Goodbye -24, hello +24
Goodbye jackets, hello sweaters
Goodbye blizzards, hello rain drops
Goodbye ice fishing, hello dock fishing
Goodbye snowshoes, hello flipflops
and... so many more!

Next week is another short four day week! Have a very 'Hoppy' Easter!

Love always,
